FLORIDA HISPANIC AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

A Network of Chambers & Cultural Associations

  • New Puerto Rican Alliance Created to Promote Economic and Business Development in Florida and PR

A group of Puerto Rican/Hispanic Chambers of Commerce united under the banner of the "Florida Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce" to unite businessmen and leaders to educate, create opportunities and fraternal alliances, be representatives of companies in different organizations and as spokespersons and advocates before government institutions. Other benefits are the constant search and access to information at the federal and state levels for the growth of our business community in the state of Florida and Puerto Rico. Among many initiatives, the Florida Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce recently signed a Mutual Collaboration Agreement with the new Puerto Rico Research Hub at the University of Central Florida, is collaborating with the Vice President of Marketing and Research of the UCF, Tom O'Neal, to help promote business incubators / accelerators in PR and Central Florida, and also presented, along with PRUSA Channel, Puerto Rican Student Assn. at UCF and CPA's of the Puerto Rico Association of Florida, a total of 16 Business Seminars, free of charge to attendees, on how to start and grow your business in Florida. This agreement was officially formalized to celebrate the Discovery of Puerto Rico on November 14, 2018 at UCF at 1:00 pm. The details of the agreement and the parameters of collaboration were explained at the event:

  • Disseminate information, results of socioeconomic research on the Puerto Rican community that resides or is recently relocating, coming to Florida, and/or PR
  • Provide a forum in our 7 affiliated chapters and more than 15 professional and business groups for the PRRH to explain their goals and services
  • Assist PRRH in obtaining sponsors and donors for the projects and efforts of the center
